Blue Line
performer: ali mirzaei
By: Rasoul Moareknejad
The “Blue Line” symbolizes the vital, yet missing, presence of water in the arid riverbed that cuts through Isfahan. This visual metaphor starkly contrasts the river’s former vitality with its current state of desolation. Once a life-sustaining artery, the river now serves as a poignant reminder of the severe impacts of environmental degradation. By emphasizing the absence of water through the “Blue Line,” the artist seeks to evoke a sense of urgency and inspire collective action. His goal is to rally individuals and communities to support the restoration of this historic waterway, transforming it from a desolate landscape back into a vibrant and flourishing ecosystem.
